Observations:

1) The manual supplied is almost useless. Poor quality printing, and pictures.  Mostly consists of safety warnings.  Everyone wishes there was a better book.

2) The belts supplied by the Chinese are fair.  Plan on running them till they break and buying new American made "Gates" belts.

3) A second set of blades is recommended during the order proccess.  They consist of a pair. $100.00

4) The manufactures ad claims, "We have designed and manufactured the chipper as simple as possible.  We use common
bearings, belts, and pulleys."  That is exactly what it is, Simple, Strong, and Dependable.

5) It will feed a 6" branch.  It uses a flywheel cutter with two replacable/reversable knives.  The shute is
24" wide and the gear feed is spring loaded with a 6 x 9 opening.  It uses a heavy flywheel about 24 inches in diameter that requires a minimum 15 hp at the PTO.

6) Always use eye protection.  There are some gaps near the flywheel that chips can and do find their way out and back at you. They can put out an eye.  Check and maintain belt tension, particularly on the feed roller drive.  If it is too loose the belt will slip and burn up when you put in anything sizeable.  Too tight and you can break the feed roller drive shaft if you get a big piece of hardwood wedged in the feed.  15 lb or so for a 1/4 inch deflection at mid-point on the belt is about right.  At that tension it will slip if you get jammed. Better to replace a belt than a drive shaft.  Do not over-grease the bearings.  They have rubber seals over the race, blow it out and they will attract dirt and or water very quickly.
