1. What else will I need to buy separately when my tractor crate arrives?
You will have to purchase your own antifreeze, diesel fuel and oils. Occasionally you may need an extra bolt or nut that didn't get included.

2. How much extra will shipping and import fee's cost me?
Absolutely no extra charge.  Prices include delivery to a customs freight dock, these are located in most large cities.

3. What is the warranty?

Wear items such as belts, hoses, clutches, light bulbs, fluids & oils are not covered by this warranty. Batteries are not covered. Paint defects and scratches due to shipping and handling are not covered. Labor and freight are not included.  Maintenance parts (filters ect.) are not covered. Implements have a six months on defective parts.
Kama Tractors:

The factory in
China, Shandong Worldbest Shantuo Co., Ltd. has the final authority to approve any warranty claim and to determine which parts are to be replaced. This warranty covers the replacement of any part that fails during the first 6 months due to a manufacturing defect. The cost of labor to replace any defective component is not covered by this warranty.  If a warranted part is not in stock at Kama America, it will be ordered from the factory and included in our next regular shipment. Any expedited shipping from China is at the expense of the customer. Defective parts must be returned, freight prepaid upon request. Wear items such as belts, hoses, clutches, light bulbs, fluids & oils are not covered by this warranty. Batteries are not covered. Paint defects and scratches due to shipping and handling are not covered.

4. How do I get repair parts and how long does that take?
Many parts are available from stock. Normal maintenance items are in stock and can be shipped UPS direct to you from our west coast operations.  Small factory parts can be air freighted from China in 14 days.  Large factory parts come ocean freight in about 60 days.

5. How long will it take to get my tractor?
Delivery time can vary but USUALLY it takes 85 days from the date your deposit check clears.  This 85 day time frame can vary depending on a lot of things that are outside of our direct control.  For instance we cannot control bad weather, holidays, and customs. Other factors that change things in a hurry are multiple shipping companies, and distance from the west coast ports.   Best case is approximately 55 days and the worse case seems to be around 125.
Point being, please do not make long range personal plans based upon best case scenarios.  About 5 days ahead of the freight being at your actual location we will be able to inform you of its imminent delivery but NOT BEFORE.  We do try to eliminate as many variables as possible by using only the most reputable firms such as "Danzas AEI" who is a world leader in Customs Brokerage so please be patient - your equipment will arrive.

6. What is a two stage clutch?
Disengaging the clutch part way will stop the tractor but keep the PTO running.

7. Do I have to buy maintenance items (filters, belts, hoses) from the Tractor Outlet?
No you do not.  There are direct american replacement parts available from most automotive or tractor dealers in your area.  Remember that standard maintenance items are not covered under your 1 year parts warranty.

8. If I have a major problem with my tractor, do I have to take it to the Tractor Outlet in Oregon for repair?
No, the labor and the freight are not covered under your warranty.  Any of your local tractor repair facilities can repair your tractor. We can have the warranty parts sent direct to the facility of your choice.

9. Are hydrostatic transmissions available as an option?
No, we only offer standard transmissions at this time. The Kama do have mechanical Shuttle Shift.

10. Does my tractor use special oils or fluids?
No, use standard type CF or CG or CH Motor oil 30W or 40W for the engine and use 303 or premium Tractor Hydraulic
transmission/hydraulic fluid in the transmission and the hydraulics. All of these are available from your local auto parts dealers.

11. Can I buy Implements?
Yes, please view our implements page for the current availability. Implements Page

12. Can I buy a mower?
Yes

13. Can I finance my purchase?
Yes and we will gladly accept your Visa or Mastercard for an additional 4 percent fee.

14. Can I get a catalog or brochure?
Yes however most information and/or pictures are available direct from our website.  If you need something not found on our website then just send us an email and we can get you that particular information.

15. I saw a local, or catalog dealer that seems to sell a similar tractor, are they the same as yours?
Probably very similar, differences will be in price, decals, paint, available HP options, and theirs will probably not include our large standard list of already installed options.  All of ours come with the superior smooth running 3 or 4 cylinder engine that is EPA CERTIFIED.  Catalog dealers will sell you the tractor but then add additional freight, (most likely a significant amount of it) our pricing already includes all freight.

16. Can I order a tractor now and then next year the front end loader?
Sure, but it will cost significantly more in freight than if you order them both now as a package.

17. How complicated is it to assemble my purchase?
Assembly time can vary, but you and one of your friends should be able to assemble your tractor over the weekend. Can you tighten a loose hydraulic fitting? Are you willing to get dirty? If you answered yes to these questions then you probably can handle the assembly without any problems. If you answered no then you should find a traditional dealership and purchase a fully assembled tractor. Know your limitations and don't get in over your head. If you get confused or have a problem during assembly then call or email us and we will most likely be able to answer your question right away. The manuals that come with your tractor are basic, cover multiple models and may not be up to date with a new or recent change - they certainly do not cover every aspect of every tractor and are not shop repair manuals. We have put together an Instructional, Step by Step Video which covers the 18-28 hp tractors. Even thought the basics are the same on a 35 hp, there are differences. Additionally the video does not cover backhoe installation but our website covers this area pretty extensively. Our 18-28 hp assembly video is sent to you free of charge after we receive your payment and order.

18. Are there any additional costs?
Prices are CIF which include shipping to major US city (Destination Port). Customs and loading fees are customers responsibility. We suggest Danzas DHL for the customs broker. Average customs costs range from $350 and up. We will arrange for the customs broker for you upon your request. Loading fees from $35

19. I see that in order to get the lowest purchase price I need to pick up my equipment at the freight yard, what will I need to bring?
You will need a flat bed trailer capable of hauling 5,000 pounds if you are picking up a tractor only or an additional 3,000 pounds if you purchased a loader or backhoe.  Be sure to bring chains and tie downs to secure your load.  Most any car hauling trailer will suffice to haul your load.

20. How long has the www.Tractor-Outlet.com been in business in Oregon?
We have been offering Jinma Tractors since 1998 and as a corporation (N.E.C.) since 2000.

21. Who makes the tractors that you sell?
We sell the Jinma series atractors. These are manufactured in China by the top factories and exported all over the world with many different decals on the hood. Many companies market similar tractors with different decals. The China factorys manufactured over 50,000 tractors last year, with 1/3 of those entering the U.S. market.

22. Do I have to pay any sales tax?
No, your purchase originates in Oregon which has no sales tax.

23. Will American made 3 point implements fit the tractors you sell?
Sure, the tractors we sell up to the 35 HP use a class (1) three point hitch system, this is the same standard American system that has been in use for decades.  Please, never attempt to hook up larger class (2) or (3) implements to any compact tractor by simply down grading the pin sizes.  Class (2) and (3) implements are much larger and thus designated for large HP tractors.  Need More Detailed Information on Hitches and PTO?

24. Can you sell me a tractor if I live in Canada?
Yes and No.  We will only deliver the tractor to a U.S. city and then you will have to pick it up and take it over the border. It is not cost efficient for us to import the tractor into the U.S. and then export it again to Canada. All Canadian import and border fee's are your responsibility and we do not have a list of these fee's. Please consult your Canadian Authorities to determine costs. Please note that we only accept payment in U.S. $

25. What is the Front Cross Mounted Power Steering Cylinder?
It is a stronger and more efficient method of mounting the power steering.  We sold so many C.M.P.S. that we have now added it as standard equipment. C.M.P.S will decrease ground clearance on the front axle by about 4 inches and consequently is in a more exposed position than the horizontal side mount but we have found it to be a very durable and solid system.

26. Can I purchase a Cab for my tractor and still get a Front Loader to fit?
The factory says no - this is due to the way the loader brackets fit on the tractor.  Although we have never tried - you may be able to get your cab to fit by fabricating some different brackets that attach in a different way. Keep in mind that this kind of change is done without any factory or dealer assistance.

27. What factory options are standard at no additional cost on a purchase from the www.Tractor-Outlet.com and how do you offer these when others charge additional for them?
We start at the factory and have all these options efficiently installed during the manufacturing process and have freight charges built right into the price sheet. Coming from a farm background we consider these factory options essentials and have them installed on every tractor, plus we want you to know exactly, in advance, what the end purchase price will be. Bottom line is that since we are not a stocking dealer, we operate on a narrower margin and we choose to sell you a tractor loaded up front with features that some others may charge extra for. See our list of standard features.

28. I currently own a Jinma / Kama tractor with a front loader or backhoe and now I want to add the other one also. Are there any special considerations?
This is an easy addition with no additional problems.

29. Are there any hydraulic pump options available?
Yes and No! All of our tractors are set up with the factories best upgraded systems.

30.  The LW series backhoe looks real nice for my small operation.  Can I put one on my existing brand "X" tractor?
Yes, it is possible and probably cost effective.  The backhoe itself is virtually self-contained.  The hoe and hyd. reserve tank and controls are all pre mounted to a base plate.  Hydraulic hook up is needed.  The factory valves can be ordered with extended hoses with quick connects to easily attach to you tractors hydraulics.

31.  Do you ship to Hawaii?
Yes but it always costs more and usually takes longer.  The only major port is in Honolulu and then you might add inter island shipping.  The big freight ships we normally use direct from China do not stop in Hawaii.  Some freight can be routed through Japan which does speed it up but costs more.  So a normal route is large ship to Los Angeles and then reship back to Hawaii on a smaller one.

32.  I want a Back Hoe but not a Front Loader.
You can. We do recomend a front end loader with backhoe use. Some owner are willing to spend extra for American made loaders. In order to get the least amount of movement out of the tractor while digging you should put the bucket down and lift the front of the tractor off the ground. This stabilizes front to rear movement of the tractor when curling the hoe and dragging dirt towards you. At the same time when you lift the front, you are also lowering the rear which makes the hoe side stabilizer pads grab the ground harder. When you incorporate the whole tractor/front loader/backhoe system and have nailed it solid to the ground then you are now digging as efficient as possible. View the Backhoe page.

33. I scratched/hit/broke/dented my Tractor and would like touch up the paint with a over the counter rattle type can. What colors match?
Although not an exact match - we have found the following colors pretty close.
RED = Rustolium Red
BLUE = Krylon True Blue
